About this festival
Gauri Vrat is a Gujarati festival observed primarily by young women on Chaitra Shukla Tritiya (third day of the bright fortnight of Chaitra month, March-April). Gauri is a form of Goddess Parvati in her benevolent, life-giving aspect.
