Bala Kand Verse 119
तहँ पुनि कछुक दिवस रघुराया। रहे कीन्हि बिप्रन्ह पर दाया ॥ भगति हेतु बहु कथा पुराना। कहे बिप्र जद्यपि प्रभु जाना ॥ तब मुनि सादर कहा बुझाई। चरित एक प्रभु देखिअ जाई ॥ धनुषजग्य सुनि रघुकुल नाथा। हरषि चले मुनिबर के साथा ॥
taha~ puni kachuka divasa raghurāyā| rahe kīnhi bipranha para dāyā || bhagati hetu bahu kathā purānā| kahe bipra jadyapi prabhu jānā || taba muni sādara kahā bujhāī| carita eka prabhu dekhia jāī || dhanuṣajagya suni raghukula nāthā| haraṣi cale munibara ke sāthā ||

Shree Rama stayed there a few more days, showing grace to the Brahmins. For the sake of devotion the sages narrated many Puranic tales, though the Lord already knew them. Then the sage respectfully invited Him: 'Lord, let us go witness another great event.' Shree Rama joyfully set out with the great sage towards the bow-yajna in Janakpur.
उसके बाद रघुनाथ जी कुछ दिन और वहाँ रहे और ब्राह्मणों पर कृपा की। भक्ति के प्रयोजन से ब्राह्मणों ने अनेक पुराण-कथाएँ सुनाईं, यद्यपि प्रभु उन्हें पहले से जानते थे। तब मुनि ने आदरपूर्वक समझाया — 'प्रभु, एक और चरित्र देखने चलिए।' श्रीराम धनुष-यज्ञ (जनकपुर) के लिए प्रसन्न होकर श्रेष्ठ मुनि के साथ चल पड़े।
