Shitala Satam & Randhan Chhath Vidhi — Gujarat
Shitala Satam (Bhadra Krishna Saptami) is uniquely celebrated in Gujarat. The day before — Randhan Chhath — women cook two days' food. On Satam, only cold food (prepared the day before) is served — no cooking. Shitala Mata is the goddess of health and disease prevention.
