About Sri Rayaru
Sri Raghavendra Swamy (1595–1671) was a great yati of the Madhva tradition. He entered Brindavana in 1671 at Mantralayam, on the banks of river Tunga in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. He vowed to grant the wishes of devotees from Mantralayam for 700 years. He is famed as the "Kalpavruksha of Kaliyuga".
