Sundar Kand Verse 24
बन बाग उपबन बाटिका सर कूप बापीं सोहहीं। नर नाग सुर गंधर्व कन्या रूप मुनि मन मोहहीं॥ कहुँ माल देह बिसाल सैल समान अतिबल गर्जहीं। नाना अखारेन्ह भिरहिं बहुबिधि एक एकन्ह तर्जहीं॥ २॥

Forests, gardens, orchards, pleasure-groves, ponds, wells, and step-wells lent the city their beauty. The daughters of Nagas, gods, and Gandharvas were so exquisitely lovely that even the minds of sages would have been enchanted. Elsewhere, immense-bodied wrestlers, mountain-like and of tremendous strength, roared and challenged one another, competing fiercely in numerous arenas.
वन, बाग, उपवन, बाटिका, तालाब, कुएँ और बावलियाँ शोभित हो रही हैं। नाग, देवता और गन्धर्वों की कन्याएँ ऐसी सुन्दर हैं कि मुनियों का मन भी मोहित हो जाए। कहीं विशाल शरीर वाले मल्ल पर्वत के समान अत्यन्त बलवान गरज रहे हैं। अनेक अखाड़ों में बहुत प्रकार से भिड़ रहे हैं और एक-दूसरे को ललकार रहे हैं।
