Sundar Kand Verse 138

(Devanagari)
Roman (IAST)
rāma bimukha saṃpati prabhutāī| jāi rahī pāī binu pāī|| sajala mūla jinha saritanha nāhīṃ| bariṣa gae~ puni tabahiṃ sukhāhīṃ|| 3||
Simple transliteration
rama bimukha sampati prabhutai jai rahi pai binu pai sajala mula jinha saritanha nahim barisha gae~ puni tabahim sukhahim 3
Meaning (English)

Shree Hanuman warned — 'For one who is turned away from Rama, all wealth and dominion — even when possessed — are as good as never possessed, for they slip away into nothing. Just as rivers with no perennial source at their root fill with the rains but dry up the moment the rains are gone, so too all earthly power without Rama's grace will vanish.'

Meaning (Hindi) ·
