Jyeshtha Purnima (29 June 2026 per the Vedic Panchang) is the full moon of the Jyeshtha lunar month — one of the year's most powerful snan-daan (sacred bath + charity) days. The same tithi is the basis of Vat Purnima Vrat (Maharashtra/Gujarat — see /festivals/vat-purnima). Bathing in the Ganga or any holy river at sunrise on this Purnima is said to grant the merit of a hundred yagnas.
