Surya Arghya Vidhi — Sunday Morning
Complete ritual for offering water to Surya with a copper pot.
6 Steps
15 minutes before sunrise
After bathing, stand facing east direction.
Prepare the pot
Mix water + saffron + red flowers + sandalwood in the copper pot.
Lift with both hands
Hands at shoulder height — let the water stream flow continuously.
See the Sun through the water stream
The water acts as a natural filter — gives the eyes rest and healing.
Chant the mantra
"Om Ghrani Suryaya Namah" — 3 or 7 times.
Let water fall to the ground
In front of your feet — splashing on feet is considered auspicious.

Do not use iron or plastic vessels
Copper only
Do not offer arghya 1 hour after sunrise
Sun rays become too intense
Do not look directly at the sun without the water stream

सूर्य अर्घ्य विधि — रविवार प्रातः
तांबे के लोटे से सूर्य को जल चढ़ाने की सम्पूर्ण विधि।
6 चरण
सूर्योदय से 15 मिनट पहले
स्नान करके पूर्व दिशा की ओर मुख करके खड़े हों।
लोटा तैयार करें
तांबे के लोटे में जल + केसर + लाल फूल + चंदन मिलाएं।
दोनों हाथों से लोटा उठाएं
हाथ कंधे की ऊँचाई पर — लोटे से जल धारा निकले।
जल की धारा के बीच से सूर्य को देखें
पानी की धारा एक नेचुरल फिल्टर है — इससे आँखों को आराम मिलता है।
मंत्र बोलें
"ॐ घृणि सूर्याय नमः" — 3 या 7 बार।
जल भूमि पर गिराएं
पैरों के सामने — छींटे पड़ेंगे, पानी पैरों पर आएगा — शुभ माना जाता है।

केवल तांबा
सूर्योदय के 1 घंटे बाद अर्घ्य न दें
सूर्य की किरणें तीव्र होती हैं
सीधे सूर्य को न देखें बिना जल-धारा के
नेत्र क्षति हो सकती है
श्मशान घाट पर अर्घ्य न दें
केवल नदी, तालाब या घर में
