Sundar Kand Verse 160
तात सक्रसुत कथा सुनाएहु। बान प्रताप प्रभुहि समुझाएहु॥ मास दिवस महुँ नाथ न आवा। तौ पुनि मोहि जिअत नहिं पावा॥ ३॥
tāta sakrasuta kathā sunāehu| bāna pratāpa prabhuhi samujhāehu|| māsa divasa mahu~ nātha na āvā| tau puni mohi jiata nahiṃ pāvā|| 3||

O dear one, narrate to the Lord the tale of Shakra-suta — Jayanta, the son of Indra — who in the guise of a crow pecked my foot, and whom the Lord pursued through all three worlds with a single blade-of-grass shaft (the Brahmastra); thus remind him of the might of his arrow. Also tell him that if the Lord does not come within one month, he will no longer find me alive.
हे तात! प्रभु को सक्रसुत — इन्द्रपुत्र जयन्त — की कथा सुनाना: जिसने काक-रूप धरकर मेरे चरण में चोंच मारी थी, उसे प्रभु ने एक तृण-बाण (ब्रह्मास्त्र) से तीनों लोकों में खदेड़ा था; इस प्रकार प्रभु को उनके बाण के प्रताप का स्मरण कराना। और यह भी कहना कि यदि एक मास के भीतर नाथ नहीं आए, तो फिर वे मुझे जीवित न पाएँगे।
