दूरेण ह्यवरं कर्म बुद्धियोगाद्धनञ्जय। बुद्धौ शरणमन्विच्छ कृपणाः फलहेतवः।।2.49।।

dūreṇa hyavaraṃ karma buddhiyogāddhanañjaya| buddhau śaraṇamanviccha kṛpaṇāḥ phalahetavaḥ||2.49||

Meaning
Meaning (English)
Action motivated by selfish desire is far inferior to action performed with the wisdom of equanimity. Seek refuge in this balanced wisdom. Those who work for the fruits of their actions are pitiable.
Meaning (Hindi) · अर्थ
हे धनंजय! बुद्धियोग (समत्व-बुद्धि) की अपेक्षा सकाम कर्म बहुत निम्न है। बुद्धि की शरण लो। फलों की कामना करने वाले कृपण (दीन) हैं।
