अशोच्यानन्वशोचस्त्वं प्रज्ञावादांश्च भाषसे।
गतासूनगतासूंश्च नानुशोचन्ति पण्डिताः।।2.11।।

aśocyānanvaśocastvaṃ prajñāvādāṃśca bhāṣase|
gatāsūnagatāsūṃśca nānuśocanti paṇḍitāḥ||2.11||

Meaning
Meaning (English)

Krishna begins His teaching: You grieve for those who should not be grieved for, yet you speak words of wisdom. The truly wise mourn neither for the living nor for the dead, for the soul is eternal.

Meaning (Hindi) · अर्थ

श्रीभगवान् बोले — तू जिनके लिए शोक नहीं करना चाहिए, उनके लिए शोक करता है और ज्ञान की बातें भी करता है। जो जी रहे हैं और जो मर गए हैं उनके लिए पण्डित लोग शोक नहीं करते।
