Vaishakha Purnima 2026 falls on 1 May. In Vaishnava tradition Lord Vishnu is also remembered in his ninth avatar form on this Purnima. In Assam it is observed with river bathing at Brahmaputra ghats, lamp offerings, Vishnu puja, and fasting. Special pujas are held at the Hayagriva Madhava temple, Hajo.
