Shri Ramayan Ji Ki Aarti (आरती श्री रामायन जी की)

Aarti Shri Ramayan ji ki, Kirti kalit lalita Siya-Pi ki. — This is the aarti of the holy Ramayana (the Ramcharitmanas); it is the aarti of that scripture adorned with the lovely, graceful, charming glory (fame) of Sita's Lord, Shri Rama. (This is the refrain, repeated throughout.) Gaavat Brahmaadik Munignaani, Ved Puraan Shaastra Itihaani. — Brahma and the other gods, along with wise sages, sing this story of Rama; the Vedas, Puranas, scriptures and chronicles (itihasa) all proclaim its glory. Mahima sees mukut munimani ki, Aarti Shri Ramayan ji ki. — The glory of this scripture is supreme — like the crowning jewel upon the head of the foremost of sages (the crest-gem of munis); such is the aarti of Shri Ramayana. (Refrain — repeated.) Geet, Naad, Naat, Naataka, Kavi-Kovid, Bhaav-bhaav-bhar bhaakhat saadar. — Through song, melody, instrumental music and drama, and through poets and learned scholars (kovid), it is reverently expressed and sung, filled with every kind of devotional sentiment. Pooran kaam Ramaayan ji ki, Aarti Shri Ramayan ji ki. — The Ramayana fulfills all righteous desires and heartfelt longings; such is the aarti of Ramayana ji. (Refrain — repeated.) Naam Pratapa-Vipula Bal-Bhaakhi, Sabd, Sneh, Soumya, Sukh-Daayi. — In this scripture the majesty of Rama's Name declares boundless power (strength); its word (utterance) is loving, gentle and bestows happiness. Soha kanchan-mantap Manas ki, Aarti Shri Ramayan ji ki. — The golden pavilion (the radiant sacred abode) of the Manas (Ramcharitmanas) shines resplendent; such is the aarti of Shri Ramayana. (Refrain — repeated.) Tulsi-Daas kahat charanaarpan, Karunaanidh maangat Hari-darshan. — Tulsidas says: I offer this (everything) at the Lord's feet; from Shri Hari, the ocean of compassion (Karunanidhi), I ask only for His darshan (sacred sight). Sumirat Saadhu samaaj-savaani ki, Aarti Shri Ramayan ji ki. — Remembering and honoring the assembly of saints (the saadhu-samaj, with their devoted service and speech), this aarti is performed; such is the aarti of Shri Ramayana. (Refrain — repeated.)
