Legend & History
When Ganesha was married before Kartikeya, the latter left Kailash in anger and went to Krauncha Parvata, and then to Srisailam. Lord Shiva and Parvati followed to pacify him, and decided to reside there eternally as Mallikarjuna and Bhramaramba.
