Bhagavad Gita 17.28
अश्रद्धया हुतं दत्तं तपस्तप्तं कृतं च यत्। असदित्युच्यते पार्थ न च तत्प्रेत्य नो इह।।17.28।।
aśraddhayā hutaṃ dattaṃ tapastaptaṃ kṛtaṃ ca yat| asadityucyate pārtha na ca tatpretya no iha||17.28||
ashraddhaya hutam dattam tapastaptam kritam ca yat asadityucyate partha na ca tatpretya no iha17.28
Meaning
Whatever sacrifice, charity, or austerity is performed without faith — it is called 'Asat' (unreal). It is of no value here or hereafter. Faith is the essential ingredient that gives spiritual value to all actions.
हे पार्थ! जो यज्ञ, दान, तप और कर्म अश्रद्धापूर्वक किया जाता है, वह 'असत्' कहा जाता है; वह न इस लोक में और न मरण के पश्चात् लाभदायक होता है।
