अन्नाद्भवन्ति भूतानि पर्जन्यादन्नसम्भवः।
यज्ञाद्भवति पर्जन्यो यज्ञः कर्मसमुद्भवः।।3.14।।
Roman (IAST)
annādbhavanti bhūtāni parjanyādannasambhavaḥ|
yajñādbhavati parjanyo yajñaḥ karmasamudbhavaḥ||3.14||
Simple transliteration
annadbhavanti bhutani parjanyadannasambhavah
yajnadbhavati parjanyo yajnah karmasamudbhavah3.14
Meaning
Meaning (English)

All living beings subsist on food, food is produced by rain, rain comes from sacrifice, and sacrifice is born of enjoined action. This describes the cosmic cycle of sustenance.

समस्त प्राणी अन्न से उत्पन्न होते हैं अन्न की उत्पत्ति पर्जन्य से। पर्जन्य की उत्पत्ति यज्ञ से और यज्ञ कर्मों से उत्पन्न होता है।
