अनाश्रितः कर्मफलं कार्यं कर्म करोति यः।
स संन्यासी च योगी च न निरग्निर्न चाक्रियः।।6.1।।
Roman (IAST)
śrī bhagavānuvāca|
anāśritaḥ karmaphalaṃ kāryaṃ karma karoti yaḥ|
sa saṃnyāsī ca yogī ca na niragnirna cākriyaḥ||6.1||
Simple transliteration
shri bhagavanuvaca
anashritah karmaphalam karyam karma karoti yah
sa samnyasi ca yogi ca na niragnirna cakriyah6.1
Meaning
Meaning (English)

Krishna defines a true Sannyasi and Yogi: One who performs prescribed duty without depending on the fruits of action is the real renunciate and yogi — not the one who merely gives up rituals or activity.

श्रीभगवान् बोले — जो पुरुष कर्मफल पर आश्रित हुए बिना कर्तव्य कर्म करता है, वही संन्यासी और योगी है; केवल अग्नि या क्रियाओं का त्याग कर देने वाला नहीं।
