💧 Tarpan Ritual During Lunar Eclipse
The Lunar Eclipse period is considered highly auspicious for Pitru Tarpan. Tarpan performed at this time yields a thousandfold benefit. Tarpan during the total eclipse phase is especially efficacious.
Tarpan Method:
- Face East or North
- Add sesame seeds, barley, and Kusha grass to water
- Say "Om [ancestor name] Triptatu, Idam Tarpana" while offering water
- Perform Tarpan for father, grandfather, and great-grandfather
- Conclude with "Om Tatsat"
