Jai Gayatri Mata, Maiya Jai Gayatri Mata — Victory to you, Mother Gayatri; O Mother, glory to you, Mata Gayatri. (This is the refrain, repeated at the close of every stanza.) Sadguna-vaibhava-shaalini, trividh-tap-haarini, Maata jai jagat vidhata — You are adorned with noble virtues and divine splendour, the remover of the threefold afflictions (the spiritual, the material/worldly, and the divinely-caused sufferings); O Mother, you are the ordainer and creatrix of the world — glory to you. Jai Gayatri Mata — (refrain) Sukhmaya varada bhagwati, daatri shubha guna ki, Maata daatri shubha guna ki — O Bhagavati, you are the embodiment of bliss and the bestower of boons, the giver of auspicious virtues; O Mother, you are the giver of all auspicious qualities. Hari Brahma Shankar ki, sevya shashidhar ki, Maata sevya shashidhar ki — O Mother, you are worthy of worship and service by Hari (Vishnu), Brahma and Shankara, and by Shashidhar (Shiva, who bears the moon) as well. Jai Gayatri Mata — (refrain) Mata vedmata bhuvneshvari, gayatri sukhdaayi, Maata gayatri sukhdaayi — O Mother, you are Vedamata, the mother of the Vedas, and Bhuvaneshwari, the sovereign of all the worlds; O Gayatri Mata, you are the giver of happiness. Brahmaroopini, dharma-dhaarini, jagat ki hai maayi, Maata jagat ki hai maayi — You are Brahmarupini, of the very form of Brahman, and Dharma-dharini, the upholder of righteousness; O Mother, you are the mother of the entire world. Jai Gayatri Mata — (refrain) Bhakta-vatsala, kripa-nidhana, paap-haarini maata, Maata paap-haarini maata — O Mother, you are tender and loving toward your devotees, a treasure-store of grace, and the remover of sins. Aadi-Shakti, Mahamaya, sab dukhdaayi haarini, Maata sab dukhdaayi haarini — You are Adi-Shakti (the primordial power) and Mahamaya; O Mother, you dispel every sorrow-giving affliction. Jai Gayatri Mata — (refrain) Jo koi nit prati paath kare uska, Maata sab kaaj sudhare — Whoever recites your praise every single day, O Mother, you set right and accomplish all of his tasks. Sangat-paati saare paap mitaaye, bhav-sagar tar jaaye — Through such devoted association all his sins are wiped away, and he crosses over the ocean of worldly existence.
