Ahoi Mata Aarti (जय अहोई माता)

Jai Ahoi Mata, Maiya jai Ahoi Mata — Victory to you, Ahoi Mata; victory to you, O Mother. (This is the refrain of the aarti, repeated throughout.) Tumko nis-din dhyaavat, Maiya tumko nis-din dhyaavat, Hari Brahma Shiv-rata — Day and night all meditate upon you; even Vishnu (Hari), Brahma and Shiva remain devotedly absorbed in you. Jai Ahoi Mata — (refrain, repeated) Brahmaani Rudraani Kamla, Tu hi hai jagdaata — You alone are Brahmani (Brahma's power), Rudrani (Shiva's power) and Kamala (Lakshmi); you alone are the sustainer and giver to the whole world. Surya-Chandrama dhyaavat tujhko, Naarad Rishi gaata — The Sun and the Moon meditate upon you, and the divine sage Narad sings your praises. Jai Ahoi Mata — (refrain) Maata roop niranjan, sukh-sampati-daata — O Mother, your form is niranjan (pure, untouched by illusion); you are the bestower of happiness and prosperity. Jo koi tumko dhyaave, putra-putri paata — Whoever meditates upon you with a true heart is blessed with children — sons and daughters. Jai Ahoi Mata — (refrain) Karat beti ki suhaag-akhand, Pati-prem akhand mein bhar deti — You keep a daughter's married bliss (suhaag) unbroken and eternal, filling her life with the unceasing love of her husband. Sukhi suhaagan rahein hamesha, Saubhagya sada hi rahnay deti — By your grace women remain ever-happy and ever-wedded in good fortune, and you let their auspicious married fortune (saubhagya) endure forever. Jai Ahoi Mata — (refrain) Ahoi Ashtami vrat jo dharein nari, Putra-pautra sukh paavein saari — Those women who keep the Ahoi Ashtami fast all attain the joy of sons and grandsons (a thriving lineage). Karahin manorath uske maata, Sat-sant kabhi nahin chhodein haatha — O Mother, you fulfil all her heart's wishes; the virtuous, the saints (and your sheltering hand) never let go of her. Jai Ahoi Mata — (refrain) Maiya ki aarti jo jan gaave, Vipat-vikara sab paas na aave — Whoever sings the Mother's aarti, no calamity or affliction ever comes near them. Rakshak ban ke ghar mein virajey, Sankat-mochan sab vipada saajey — Becoming their protector, the Mother dwells in their home and, as the remover of distress, sets right (dispels) every misfortune.
