Lanka Kand Verse 32
सत्य कहहि दसकंठ सब मोहि न सुनि कछु कोह। कोउ न हमारें कटक अस तो सन लरत जो सोह ॥ २३(ख) ॥

Angad said, 'O ten-throated one, you speak truly in all of this — I hear it without anger. But there is indeed no one in our army who would be a fitting match for you in battle.' This couplet is Angad's ironic concession — on the surface he appears to agree with Ravan, but the implication is clear: the only adversary truly worthy of Ravan is Ram himself, and facing Ram is something Ravan cannot survive.
अंगद ने आगे कहा — 'हे दशकंठ, तुम सब सच कह रहे हो — मुझे सुनकर कोई क्रोध नहीं आता। किंतु हमारी सेना में कोई ऐसा नहीं जो तुमसे लड़ने में शोभित (योग्य) हो।' यह दोहा अंगद का व्यंग्यपूर्ण कथन है जिसमें वे सतह पर रावण की बात स्वीकार करते हैं, परंतु उसका तात्पर्य यह है कि रावण के योग्य शत्रु कोई साधारण वानर नहीं बल्कि स्वयं श्रीराम हैं — और उनसे लड़ना रावण के लिए संभव नहीं।
