अस कहि फिरि चितए तेहि ओरा। सिय मुख ससि भए नयन चकोरा॥
भए बिलोचन चारु अचंचल। मनहुँ सकुचि निमि तजे दिगंचल॥2॥

asa kahi phiri citae tehi orā| siya mukha sasi bhae nayana cakorā||
bhae bilocana cāru acaṃcala| manahu~ sakuci nimi taje digaṃcala||2||
Simple transliteration
asa kahi phiri citae tehi ora siya mukha sasi bhae nayana cakora

Meaning (English)

So saying, Ram turned and looked that way — his eyes became as chakora birds gazing at the moon of Sita's face. His beautiful eyes became still and unblinking, as if the presiding deity of eyelids had shyly withdrawn.

Meaning (Hindi) · भावार्थ

ऐसा कहकर राम ने उस दिशा में देखा — सीता के मुख रूपी चन्द्रमा को देखने के लिए उनके नेत्र चकोर बन गए। सुंदर नेत्र टकटकी लगाकर स्थिर हो गए; मानो निमि ने सकुचाकर पलकों को छोड़ दिया।
