Delete Your Account & Data

Last updated: August 2026 · Applies to vedkosh.com and the VedKosh Android app (com.bcode8labs.vedkosh)

In one line: You can permanently delete your VedKosh account and everything attached to it yourself, in one click, from the Account page — no email, no waiting, no reason needed.

Most of VedKosh needs no account at all. Aartis, Bhajans, Chalisas, Mantras, the Bhagavad Gita, Ramayan, the Festival Calendar and Panchang are all readable without signing in, so there may be nothing to delete in the first place.

1. Delete it yourself (fastest — takes about 10 seconds)

  1. Open the VedKosh app, or go to vedkosh.com in any browser.
  2. Sign in and open the Account page (tap your profile icon in the header, then Account).
  3. Scroll to the Data & Account card and choose Delete my account.
  4. Confirm when prompted. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

The same card also offers Download my data — a complete JSON export of everything we hold about you. If you want a copy, take the export before you delete, because deletion is irreversible.

2. Or ask us to delete it for you

If you cannot sign in — for example you have lost access to the email address you registered with — email contact@vedkosh.com with the subject Account deletion request, telling us the email address your VedKosh account uses.

We verify that the request genuinely comes from the account holder before deleting anything, then confirm by email. We acknowledge within 2 business days and complete verified deletions within 30 days, as required by the India DPDP Act, GDPR and CCPA.

3. What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes, immediately and irreversibly:

  • Your sign-in identity — email address, and the Google Sign-In link if you used one.
  • Your profile — display name and any birth details (date, time and place) you saved for Kundali reports.
  • Your phone number and WhatsApp consent record, if you had ticked the optional WhatsApp updates box.
  • Your entitlements — any unlocked reports attached to the account.
  • The buyer email and the birth-detail fingerprint on any past order records (see section 4).
  • Your feedback rate-limit record, and any saved push-notification token for the account.

We never held your password (VedKosh accounts are passwordless) and never held your card or bank details (those live only with Razorpay, our payment processor), so there is nothing of that kind to delete.

4. What is retained, and for how long

Two narrow categories outlive deletion. Both are stripped of anything that identifies you first.

DataWhat happensKept for
Paid order recordsAnonymised, not deleted — your email and the birth-detail fingerprint are erased, leaving only the amount, date and payment reference. Indian tax and accounting law requires the transaction itself to be kept.As required by Indian tax law
Feedback you sent usKept only as long as needed to act on it, then archived or deleted. Ask us and we will delete it sooner.Up to 24 months
Kundali fair-use recordsA timestamp plus a one-way fingerprint — never the birth details, which cannot be recovered from it. Deleted automatically on a rolling basis.30 days
Server logsStandard web-server request logs, rotated automatically. Not linked back to a deleted account.30 days
Anonymous analyticsAggregate Google Analytics counts that were never tied to your identity and cannot be traced to you.Retained in aggregate

Nothing in this table can be used to re-identify you or to rebuild your account. VedKosh does not retain your AI chat prompts or palm photographs at all — they are processed and discarded, whether or not you have an account.

5. Deleting data when you never had an account

A few things are stored without an account. You can clear each of them yourself:

  • Push notifications. Turn notifications off for VedKosh in your Android settings, or in your browser’s site settings, and the stored delivery token is discarded.
  • Reading history and drafts. These live only in your own browser (localStorage) and never reach our servers — clearing your browser data for vedkosh.com removes them.
  • Advertising cookies. Google AdSense cookies can be turned off at adssettings.google.com.
  • Feedback you sent us. Email contact@vedkosh.com and we will delete it.

6. Related Policies

This page implements the deletion rights described in our Privacy Policy. See also the Terms of Service, Refund & Cancellation Policy and Contact page. Questions about any of this go to contact@vedkosh.com.
