Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026 · Effective for vedkosh.com and the VedKosh Android app

By accessing or using VedKosh, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the website and the Android app.

1. About VedKosh

VedKosh (“VedKosh”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a free digital platform for Hindu devotion, offering Aartis, Bhajans, Chalisas, Mantras, Stotras, Bhagavad Gita, Ramayan, Sunderkand, Pooja Vidhi, Vrat & Rituals, Festival Calendar, Yatra/Temple guides, Panchang, Rashifal, Janam Kundali, 13 Vedic astrology tools, the VedAI assistant (Google Gemini), AI Hast Rekha palm reading, kids' stories, quizzes and FAQs — across 35 languages. These Terms govern your use of all features at vedkosh.com, the VedKosh Android app, and any related services (the “Service”).

2. Definitions

  • Content — all text, images, audio, code, layouts, illustrations, AI outputs and downloads on VedKosh.
  • User / You — anyone who accesses or uses the Service.
  • AI Output — responses, palm-reading analyses, or other text/insights generated by VedAI or AI Hast Rekha.
  • Devotional Content — traditional Hindu prayers, scriptures, mantras and devotional texts in the public domain, presented through our editorial work.

3. Eligibility & Account

VedKosh requires no account, login or registration. By using the Service, you confirm that (a) you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction, and (b) if you are a minor, you are using the Service with the awareness and guidance of a parent or guardian where appropriate.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use VedKosh only for lawful, personal and devotional purposes. You agree NOT to:

  • Copy, redistribute, mirror, republish, syndicate, or commercially exploit VedKosh content (including AI Output, layouts, illustrations or compilations) without prior written permission.
  • Use automated tools — bots, scrapers, crawlers, headless browsers — to extract content or generate AI Output in bulk.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service or its AI components.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, overload, or compromise the security or integrity of VedKosh, our servers, or the Google Gemini APIs we use.
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, paywalls (where applicable), CSP, or other technical restrictions.
  • Use VedKosh in any manner that violates Indian law or the law of your jurisdiction.
  • Submit unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing, religiously inflammatory or otherwise harmful content through feedback, contact forms or AI prompts.
  • Misrepresent your identity, impersonate VedKosh, its team, or any other person or entity.
  • Use the Service to promote any religion, ideology or product in ways that exploit our Hindu devotional brand.

5. Intellectual Property

All original Content on VedKosh — page designs, illustrations, photography, text compilations, structured editorial summaries, the VedAI prompt engineering, and the VedKosh logo and brand — is the intellectual property of VedKosh and its creators, and is protected by Indian and international copyright, trademark and related laws.

Traditional prayers, scriptures and devotional texts (Bhagavad Gita, Ramayan, Vedas, Puranas, classical Stotras, etc.) are in the public domain and are presented for educational and devotional use. We do not claim copyright over the underlying sacred texts themselves.

You may quote short excerpts of our compilations for personal, non-commercial, and educational use with proper attribution to VedKosh (vedkosh.com).

6. VedAI, AI Hast Rekha & AI-Generated Content

VedAI and AI Hast Rekha are powered by Google Gemini. AI Output is guidance-oriented and may contain inaccuracies, omissions or out-of-context information. VedKosh does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, scriptural fidelity, or suitability of any AI Output for any specific ritual or decision.

You are responsible for evaluating AI Output before acting on it. For important rituals, vows, sanskaras or life decisions, consult original scriptures or a qualified scholar, Pandit, Acharya or Guru. See our Disclaimer for full AI limitations.

7. User Feedback & Submissions

When you submit feedback (likes, dislikes, comments, contact-form messages, error reports), you grant VedKosh a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use that feedback to improve the Service. You will not be paid for feedback, and we will not publicly attribute it to you.

You confirm that any feedback you submit is your own, lawful, and does not infringe the rights of any third party.

8. Copyright Complaints & DMCA-Style Takedown

If you believe content on VedKosh infringes your copyright or intellectual property rights, please email contact [at] vedkosh [dot] com with: (1) identification of the copyrighted work, (2) the URL of the alleged infringement on VedKosh, (3) your contact details, (4) a good-faith statement that the use is not authorised, and (5) a statement that the information is accurate. We review valid takedown requests within 48 hours.

9. Privacy

Your use of VedKosh is also governed by our Privacy Policy. VedKosh requires no accounts and does not collect personal data. Feedback submissions are anonymous and used solely to improve content quality.

10. Advertising

VedKosh displays advertising through Google AdSense to keep the Service free for everyone. Ad content is served by third-party networks and does not represent endorsement by VedKosh. We use AdSense category blocking to exclude adult, gambling, alcohol, tobacco, weapons and hateful ads in line with our family-safe policy. For details on cookies and ad personalisation, see our Privacy Policy.

11. Third-Party Links & Services

VedKosh links to external resources (Wikipedia, government tourism sites, the Google Play Store, social platforms) and integrates third-party services (Google Gemini, Google AdSense, Vercel hosting). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, accuracy or availability of third-party resources. Access them at your own discretion.

12. Cultural & Editorial Policy

VedKosh is a pure Hindu spiritual platform rooted in Sanatana Dharma. Our editorial policy prohibits promotion of non-Hindu religions, syncretic presentation, or comparative theology framings. Historical or architectural mentions of non-Hindu figures appear only where necessary to describe a Hindu temple or tradition. We reserve the right to refuse, edit or remove any content or feedback that violates this policy.

13. Service Availability & Modifications

We strive for high uptime, but VedKosh is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend, discontinue, rename or restrict any feature, tool or content at any time, without prior notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuation of the Service.

14. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

VedKosh is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including (without limitation) implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy of content, or uninterrupted availability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VedKosh and its team shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or spiritual outcomes — arising from or related to your use of the Service. For full content-specific limitations, see our Disclaimer.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VedKosh, its team, contributors and affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, liability, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your misuse of the Service, or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged at the top of this page. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of VedKosh after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.

18. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and VedKosh regarding the Service.
