तामस तनु कछु साधन नाहीं। प्रीति न पद सरोज मन माहीं॥ अब मोहि भा भरोस हनुमंता। बिनु हरि कृपा मिलहिं नहिं संता॥ २॥

tamasa tanu kachu sadhana nahim priti na pada saroja mana mahim aba mohi bha bharosa hanumamta binu hari kripa milahim nahim samta 2
Meaning (English)
My body is born of the quality of tamas (a demon's form), I have no means of spiritual discipline, and within my heart there has not yet taken root any true love for the Lord's lotus feet. O Hanuman, now I am convinced — it is only by Shree Hari's grace that one gains the company of saints, and your arrival here is a sign of that very grace.
Meaning (Hindi) · भावार्थ
मेरा यह शरीर तमोगुणी (राक्षस-देह) है, पास में कोई साधन भी नहीं है और मन में प्रभु के चरण-कमलों के प्रति प्रीति भी नहीं जम पाई। हे हनुमान् जी! अब मुझे विश्वास हुआ कि बिना श्री हरि की कृपा के संत-मिलन नहीं होता — आपका यहाँ आना उन्हीं की कृपा का संकेत है।
