Meaning (English)
The fleeing guards rushed to Ravana and cried, 'My lord, a mighty monkey has come and laid waste to the Ashoka garden — he has eaten the fruits, torn up the trees, and crushed the guards underfoot, dashing them to the ground.'

वे पहरेदार रावण के पास जाकर बोले — 'नाथ! एक बड़ा भारी बंदर आया है, उसने अशोक वाटिका को उजाड़ दिया है। उसने फल खाए, वृक्ष उखाड़ डाले, और रक्षकों को रौंद-रौंदकर धरती पर पटक दिया।'
