सुमति कुमति सब कें उर रहहीं। नाथ पुरान निगम अस कहहीं॥ जहाँ सुमति तहँ संपति नाना। जहाँ कुमति तहँ बिपति निदाना॥5॥

Meaning (English)
O lord, the Puranas and Vedas declare that right understanding and wrong understanding both dwell within the heart — where right understanding prevails, manifold prosperity follows; where wrong understanding rules, calamity is the final fruit.

हे नाथ! पुराण और वेद यही कहते हैं कि सुमति और कुमति सभी के हृदय में रहती हैं — जहाँ सुमति है वहाँ अनेक प्रकार की संपत्ति होती है, और जहाँ कुमति है वहाँ अंत में विपत्ति ही होती है।
