यो न हृष्यति न द्वेष्टि न शोचति न काङ्क्षति।
शुभाशुभपरित्यागी भक्तिमान्यः स मे प्रियः।।12.17।।
Roman (IAST)
yo na hṛṣyati na dveṣṭi na śocati na kāṅkṣati|
śubhāśubhaparityāgī bhaktimānyaḥ sa me priyaḥ||12.17||

yo na hrishyati na dveshti na shocati na kankshati
shubhashubhaparityagi bhaktimanyah sa me priyah12.17
Meaning
Meaning (English)

One who neither rejoices nor hates, neither grieves nor desires, who renounces both the pleasant and the unpleasant, full of devotion — such a person is dear to Krishna.

जो न अत्यधिक हर्षित होता है, न द्वेष करता है, न शोक करता है और न कामना में फँसता है, तथा जो शुभ और अशुभ दोनों का परित्याग कर चुका है, वह भक्त मुझे प्रिय है।
