Significance
Located on the Srisailam hill on the banks of river Krishna. One of the few temples where both Jyotirlinga and Shakti Peetha are present together.
कृष्णा नदी के तट पर श्रीशैलम पहाड़ी पर स्थित। उन कुछ मंदिरों में से एक जहां ज्योतिर्लिंग और शक्तिपीठ दोनों एक साथ उपस्थित हैं।
Legend & History
When Lord Ganesha was married before Kartikeya, the latter went to Mount Kailash in anger. Lord Shiva and Parvati came to Srisailam to pacify him, and decided to reside there eternally as Mallikarjuna and Bhramaramba.
जब भगवान गणेश का विवाह कार्तिकेय से पहले हुआ, तो वे क्रोधित होकर कैलाश पर्वत चले गए। भगवान शिव और पार्वती उन्हें शांत करने के लिए श्रीशैलम आए, और मल्लिकार्जुन और भ्रामराम्बा के रूप में वहां सदा के लिए निवास करने का निर्णय लिया।
