Significance
The Ram Mandir (Ram Temple) is built at the birthplace of Lord Rama in Ayodhya, one of the most sacred sites in Hinduism. Ayodhya is one of the Sapta Puri (seven sacred cities). The temple was consecrated on January 22, 2024, after decades of movement. The presiding deity is Ram Lalla (infant Rama). Ayodhya is described in the Ramayana as the capital of the Kosala Kingdom where Lord Rama was born to King Dasharatha and Queen Kaushalya.
राम मंदिर अयोध्या में भगवान राम के जन्मस्थान पर बना है, जो हिंदू धर्म में सबसे पवित्र स्थलों में से एक है। अयोध्या सप्त पुरी (सात पवित्र शहरों) में से एक है। मंदिर का प्राण प्रतिष्ठा 22 जनवरी 2024 को हुआ। मुख्य देवता राम लला (बाल राम) हैं। अयोध्या रामायण में कोसल राज्य की राजधानी के रूप में वर्णित है जहां भगवान राम का जन्म राजा दशरथ और रानी कौशल्या से हुआ था।
Legend & History
Lord Rama, the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu, was born in Ayodhya during Treta Yuga. His life story is narrated in the epic Ramayana composed by Sage Valmiki. Rama is revered as Maryada Purushottam (the perfect man) who upheld dharma throughout his life. He is known for his righteousness, devotion to duty, and his victory over demon king Ravana to rescue his wife Sita. The temple marks the exact spot where Rama is believed to have been born.
भगवान राम, भगवान विष्णु के सातवें अवतार, त्रेता युग में अयोध्या में जन्मे थे। उनकी जीवन कथा महर्षि वाल्मीकि द्वारा रचित महाकाव्य रामायण में वर्णित है। राम को मर्यादा पुरुषोत्तम (आदर्श पुरुष) के रूप में पूजा जाता है जिन्होंने अपने पूरे जीवन में धर्म का पालन किया। वे अपनी धार्मिकता, कर्तव्य के प्रति समर्पण और अपनी पत्नी सीता को बचाने के लिए राक्षस राजा रावण पर विजय के लिए जाने जाते हैं।
