🙏 The Sacred Idol
The idol depicts Hanuman in a sitting posture with Lord Rama and Sita in his lap, symbolizing his eternal devotion and role as guardian of Ayodhya.
मूर्ति हनुमान जी को बैठी मुद्रा में दर्शाती है जिनकी गोद में भगवान राम और सीता विराजमान हैं, जो उनकी शाश्वत भक्ति और अयोध्या के रक्षक के रूप में उनकी भूमिका का प्रतीक है।
Significance
Hanuman Garhi is one of the most important temples in Ayodhya, built on a hill accessible by 76 steps. It is believed that Hanuman lived here in a cave and guarded the Janmabhoomi (birthplace of Lord Rama). Devotees believe that Lord Hanuman fulfills all wishes of those who visit with a pure heart. The temple was established in the 10th century and renovated by Nawab of Awadh in the 19th century.
हनुमान गढ़ी अयोध्या के सबसे महत्वपूर्ण मंदिरों में से एक है, जो एक पहाड़ी पर बना है जहां 76 सीढ़ियां चढ़कर पहुंचा जाता है। माना जाता है कि हनुमान जी यहां एक गुफा में रहते थे और जन्मभूमि (भगवान राम की जन्मस्थली) की रक्षा करते थे। भक्तों का मानना है कि भगवान हनुमान शुद्ध हृदय से आने वाले सभी लोगों की मनोकामनाएं पूर्ण करते हैं। यह मंदिर 10वीं शताब्दी में स्थापित हुआ और 19वीं शताब्दी में अवध के नवाब द्वारा पुनर्निर्मित किया गया।
Legend & History
According to legend, after Lord Rama's coronation, Hanuman chose to remain in Ayodhya as its eternal guardian. It is said that he resides at this spot, protecting the sacred city and its inhabitants from all evil and misfortune. The cave where Hanuman meditated was later converted into this grand fortress-temple. Devotees believe that no one can enter Ayodhya without first receiving Hanuman's blessings at this temple.
कथा के अनुसार, भगवान राम के राज्याभिषेक के बाद, हनुमान ने अयोध्या के शाश्वत रक्षक के रूप में यहीं रहने का निर्णय लिया। कहा जाता है कि वे इस स्थान पर निवास करते हैं, पवित्र शहर और इसके निवासियों को सभी बुराई और दुर्भाग्य से बचाते हैं। जिस गुफा में हनुमान ध्यान करते थे, उसे बाद में इस भव्य किले-मंदिर में बदल दिया गया। भक्तों का मानना है कि कोई भी इस मंदिर में पहले हनुमान जी का आशीर्वाद लिए बिना अयोध्या में प्रवेश नहीं कर सकता।
