Significance

The Pushkar Brahma Temple is one of the very few temples in the world dedicated to Lord Brahma. It stands on the banks of the sacred Pushkar Lake and is a major pilgrimage site. Pushkar is also famous for the annual camel fair.

पुष्कर का ब्रह्मा मंदिर दुनिया के बहुत कम ब्रह्मा मंदिरों में से एक है। यह पवित्र पुष्कर झील के तट पर स्थित है और एक प्रमुख तीर्थस्थल है। पुष्कर वार्षिक ऊंट मेले के लिए भी प्रसिद्ध है।

Legend & History

According to legend, Lord Brahma performed a yajna at Pushkar, making it a sacred place. The temple's red spire and silver tortoise in the sanctum are distinctive features.
