📋 Puja Procedure — Steps
Wash hands and face. Wipe the mandir area with a clean cloth. Fill copper lota with fresh water. If no puja space exists, place a small shelf in the east/northeast corner.
Light the ghee/oil lamp. Light incense. Ring the bell — this invites the deities.
Sprinkle water on the idol. Offer fresh flowers or tulsi leaves. If no flowers, offer akshata (whole rice grains).
Close eyes and meditate on your deity. Repeat any one mantra 11 or 21 times. If time permits, recite Hanuman Chalisa or Gayatri Mantra.
Pick up the lamp and wave it in a circle before the deity (3 times). Sing "Om Jai Jagdish Hare" or your deity's aarti. Offer prasad and share with family.
