Why Friday?
Akshaya Tritiya allows Lakshmi's energy to enter. The first Friday after it acts as a "seal" — permanently binding the acquired energy to the home. Venus (Shukra) especially loves metals, particularly silver and gold.
Puja Samagri

- Red cloth — to place the gold on
- Kalash — with water and mango leaves
- Kumkum, turmeric and akshat
- Ghee lamp — 5 wicks
- Lotus or rose flowers
- Kheer — for bhog offering
- Maa Lakshmi photo or Sri Yantra
Gold Activation Vidhi
Bath and Purification
Bathe on Friday morning. Purify the puja space with rose water and Gangajal.
Establish the Gold
Place the gold on red cloth. Position it in front of the kalash.
Shodashopachara Puja
Worship the gold with "Om Shrim Hrim Shrim Mahalakshmyai Namah" mantra. Perform panchamrit abhishek.
Lamp and Incense
Light a 5-wick ghee lamp. Offer sandalwood and rose incense.
Mantra Chanting
Recite Mahalaxmi Ashtakam or Kanakadhara Stotram — 1 or 3 times.
Bhog Offering
Offer kheer as bhog. Distribute as prasad to the family afterwards.
Gold Sankalpa
"This gold, with Maa Lakshmi's blessings, will be the source of family prosperity" — resolve in your mind.
