Bath and Black Attire
Brahma Muhurat (4–6 AM)
Bathe with sesame-infused water. Wear black or dark blue clothes. Chant "Om Sham Shanaischaraya Namah" 11 times.
Hanuman Puja (Seek Permission)
Morning 6–8 AM
Seek Hanuman's permission before Shani puja. Recite Hanuman Chalisa once. Offer sindoor + ghee. This is "Step 1" — Shani puja is incomplete without it.
Shani Abhishek
Morning 8–10 AM
Pour mustard oil on Shani Shila — chant "Om Sham Shanaischaraya Namah" 108 times. Offer black sesame, black cloth and an iron item.
Vat Savitri Puja
Morning 10 AM–12 PM
108 parikramas of the Banyan tree — May 16 combines Vat Savitri + Shani Amavasya. Special benefit for married women.
Pitru Tarpan (Amavasya)
