📋 Vrat Rules
- 1. Wake before sunrise, take a bath.
- 2. One meal only — salt-free (rock salt permitted).
- 3. Wear red clothes — Surya's colour.
- 4. Offer Arghya to Surya with a copper pot.
- 5. Offering: wheat and jaggery only — no other grain.
- 6. Break the fast after sunset.
- 7. Do not eat or apply oil today.
📖 Ravivar Vrat Katha
Once there was a poor Brahmin who worshipped Surya Dev daily but never observed the Sunday fast. One Sunday his wife heard the Ravivar Vrat Katha at a neighbour's house and returned without cooking. The Brahmin was angry: "What is the use of fasting?" That very night Surya Dev appeared in his dream: "Those who fast on Sunday are spared from eye disease, gain fame and prosperity." The next Sunday the Brahmin observed the fast — he offered wheat and jaggery, placed red hibiscus flowers. That very day he found a gold coin. Since then the Ravivar Vrat tradition began. ॥ Jai Surya Dev ॥
