Thai Pongal Harvest Festival Puja Vidhi (Malaysia)
Thai Pongal is the harvest festival. Cooking Sakkara Pongal in a new earthen pot (Ponchi), worshipping Surya Bhagavan in the courtyard with sugarcane and turmeric is the traditional Pongal celebration of Malaysian Tamils.

படி 1: Bhogi Bonfire — Night Before
பொங்கலுக்கு முந்தைய இரவில் பழைய பொருட்களை எரிக்கும் போகி தீ எரியுங்கள். புதிய தொடக்கத்தின் அடையாளம். Light the Bhogi bonfire on the night before Pongal by burning old items. Symbol of new beginnings.
படி 2: Pongal Cooking at Sunrise
சூரிய உதயத்தில் முற்றத்தில் புதிய மண் பானையில் பொங்கல் சமையுங்கள். கரும்பு மற்றும் மஞ்சளை அருகில் வையுங்கள். Cook Pongal in a new clay pot in the courtyard at sunrise. Place sugarcane and turmeric nearby.
படி 3: "பொங்கலோ பொங்கல்!" — பால் பொங்கும்போது (Pongalo Pongal! — When Milk Overflows)
பால் பொங்கி வழியும்போது "பொங்கலோ பொங்கல்!" என்று உரத்த குரலில் கூறுங்கள். இது செழிப்பின் அடையாளம். Shout "Pongalo Pongal!" in a loud voice when the milk overflows. This is a symbol of prosperity.
படி 4: Serving on Banana Leaf
பொங்கலை வாழை இலையில் பரிமாறி சூரிய பகவானுக்கு நைவேத்தியம் செய்யுங்கள். குடும்பத்துடன் சேர்ந்து சாப்பிடுங்கள். Serve Pongal on banana leaf and offer naivedyam to Surya Bhagavan. Eat together with family.
