Can you eat salt in Friday vrat?

✗ Regular table salt is forbidden. ✓ Sendha Namak (Rock Salt) is permitted.

Sabudana Kheer — Friday Vrat Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Sabudana (sago) — ½ cup (soaked 2 hours)
  • Milk — 1 litre
  • Sugar — 3–4 tablespoons
  • Cardamom powder — ¼ teaspoon
  • Cashews and raisins — for garnish

Method:

  1. 1.Soak sabudana in water for 2 hours.
  2. 2.Bring milk to a boil and add sabudana.
  3. 3.Cook on low heat for 15–20 minutes until sabudana turns translucent.
  4. 4.Add sugar and cardamom, cook 5 more minutes.
  5. 5.Garnish with cashews and raisins; offer to Maa Lakshmi.
