Banana Tree Puja on Thursday

The banana tree is considered a symbol of Brihaspati and Lord Vishnu. Thursday worship of this tree is done for prosperity, progeny, and marital happiness.
Puja Method — Five Steps
On Thursday morning, offer water, turmeric, and yellow flowers at the banana tree root.
Tie a thread around the tree and meditate on Brihaspati dev.
Place a small amount of jaggery and chana dal at the base.
Chant the Brihaspati mantra — Om Brim Brihaspataye Namah — 11 or 21 times.
Perform pradakshina and pray for prosperity and wisdom.
Curiosity: Why No Banana During Vrat?
Why not eat banana in the vrat? — This is a popular curiosity: the tree is worshipped but its fruit avoided during the fast. The belief is that the fruit of a worshipped tree should not be consumed on that sacred day, as it is considered deity-offered.
