Puja Steps

1

Bath & Sankalpa

Bathe in the morning and wear white or pink clothes. Take a sankalpa (vow) while meditating on Goddess Lakshmi.

Purify Puja Space

Sprinkle Gangajal on the puja area. Place a red cloth on a wooden seat and put Lakshmi's idol or image on it.

Panchopachara Puja

Offer flowers, lamp, incense, food, and sandalwood. Chant ॐ महालक्ष्म्यै नमः (Om Mahalakshmyai Namah) 108 times.

Lakshmi Stotra Recitation

Read Sri Suktam, Kanakdhara Stotra, or Lakshmi Chalisa. All family members can participate.

Aarti & Prasad

Perform Lakshmi aarti. Distribute kheer or white sweets as prasad. Observe fast or eat only fruit.
