Panchamrit Abhishek

Slowly pour Panchamrit over the Shani Shila / idol. Chant "Om Sham Shanaischaraya Namah" 108 times.

Mustard Oil Dhara

Pour mustard oil in a thin stream — this is the Tailabhishekam. Pray for liberation from karmic debts.

Pure Water and Aarti

Bathe Shani Dev with clean water. Offer black cloth, sesame and iron. Perform Shani Aarti.

✗ Do not offer mustard oil on Sunday or Tuesday for Shani — it gives reverse effects.

✗ Do not take the abhishek oil home after puja — leave it at the temple.

✗ Never pour oil in a cracked or broken lamp — inauspicious.

✗ Women should not touch the Shani idol during menstruation.
