Light a lamp near Tulsi on Friday evening — Maa Lakshmi's grace

Perform this ritual on the first Friday after Akshaya Tritiya — it makes the wealth acquired during the festival truly "Akshaya" (eternal).

Tulsi Puja Vidhi — With Timing

Evening Start

5:30 PM

Go near the Tulsi plant at 5:30 PM (before sunset).

Purification

5:35 PM

Clean the area around the Tulsi plant. Sprinkle rose water.

Water Offering

5:40 PM

Give pure water to Tulsi. Say "Shri Tulsi Namastubhyam" mantra.

Decoration

5:45 PM

Apply red chunari and kumkum on Tulsi. Keep a jasmine or rose flower.

Ghee Lamp

6:00 PM

Light a ghee lamp during Pradosh Kaal (6–7:30 PM). Place lamp facing East.

Mantra Chanting

6:05 PM

Chant "Om Shrim Mahalakshmyai Namah" or Tulsi stotram 11 times.

Circumambulation

6:15 PM

Circumambulate Tulsi 3 or 5 times — left to right.

Prasad

6:20 PM

Keep sweets or fruit as prasad near Tulsi. Give to family afterwards.
