May 17 – June 15, 2026 | The sacred month of Lord Vishnu
Adhik Maas (the leap month) occurs once every 3 years. It is called "Purushottam Maas" because Lord Vishnu personally gave this month His name. Vishnu puja, bhajans, and daan performed in this month are believed to give 12-fold results. In 2026, it runs from May 17 to June 15.
What to Do
- ✓Recite Vishnu Sahasranamam daily
- ✓Offer water and service to Tulsi plant
- ✓Observe at least one Thursday fast during Adhik Maas
- ✓Conduct Bhagavata Katha, Vishnu stotrams, Harinam kirtan
- ✓Perform pitru-shraddha and charitable giving
- ✓Conduct Satyanarayan vrat-katha puja
